Our Team

Our team consists of experienced teachers who collaborate for many years with the school. With a lot of love, care and passion they embrace the needs of the preschooler from every angle, in interrelated cooperation with the specialists of the school.

Orff Musical Education Approach Lena Rodouli

Lena Rodouli is a piano graduate and graduate of the Two-Year Postgraduate Cycle of C. Orff Musical Education Approach
of the Moraitis School (under the supervision of the International Orff- Schulwerk Forum Salzbourg).

Holder of certified training from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in educational subjects Musical -Movement Education and Play Therapy.

She has attended lessons on classical and contemporary dance, expressive movement and improvisation, acting and voice training.
Seminars

She has attended seminars on drama, dance and vocals (indicatively: Rhythmic Dalcroze, Construction of Improvised Instruments, Voice and Movement, Vocals for Children, Jazz and Improvisation, Word of Mouth: the transfer of music, Dance and Visual Arts, Dance Therapy, Primitive Expression) with teachers from Greece and abroad.

From 1984 to 1997 she was a piano teacher and radio producer of classical music at the Hellenic Radio of Zakynthos (1985-1991). Since 1997 she teaches music education using the C. Orff Musical Education Approach

She has participated in The E.E.M.E. and E.E.M.A.P.E. Music Conferences as lecturer – facilitator of seminars and workshops, as well as with presentations of artistic musical-movement performances with children and adults.

She was a founding member of the artistic music group “Ba! It’s your idea” with participations in performances at Universities and the 1st Pocket Theatre Festival, where the team won the 1st audience prize.

She conducts C. Orff experiential seminars in Athens and the province and collaborates with the artistic partnership “Art Cooperation”.

She is a member of the audit committee of the Hellenic Association of C. Orff Musical Education Approach

In April 2018, the musical fairy tale “White Stone Black Line” was released by the record label MLK in collaboration with Maria Saplaura.

Work Experience

She has collaborated with kindergartens, music schools, with the Music High School of Ilio (pilot program for candidate music primary schools), with the Mary Argyri Laimos Schools and with C. Orff Musical Education Approach Studies of Moraitis School (1997-2015) teaching the modules of Practical Teaching, Teaching and Forms of Music and Movement.

Since 2005 she is collaborating with our school.

DramaElena Tzortzi

Elena Tzortzi is a graduate of the Department of Theatrical Studies of the University of Athens and the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus. She has attended the Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 – Arts du Spectacles and the Higher Drama School "Iasmos", through a scholarship program. She has been taught vocalisation, voice training, classical and contemporary dance.

She teaches drama in kindergartens and preschools, while in recent years she organizes experiential, educational seminars for adults through the action of the artistic partnership Art Cooperation (https://artcooperation.weebly.com/), of which she is a founding member.
Experience

She has taken part in the ceremony of the torch lighting and delivery of the Olympic Flame in Ancient Olympia and the Kallimarmaro Stadium (Brasov, Utrecht, Sochi) as priestess, in the Athens Festival 2014 in the show “The Trilogy of the City: The Night – The City – The Parade” by Loula Anagnostakis, directed by Konstantinos Hatzis as Stage Technician – Auxiliary Actor, as well as in dance performances with the amateur team of Nena Papageorgiou-Mouratoglou.

She is the creator and manager of the online art magazine Mind the Art (https://mindtheart.gr/).

In the context of the need for continuous training, she constantly attends seminars and training activities.

She believes deeply in the power of children and uses this power as a guide to her teaching.

PsychologistMarilena Bekri

Marilena Bekri is a graduate of the Psychology Program of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, after completing her studies in the Department of Accounting and Finance of TEI Piraeus.
She has been trained in Systemic Family Psychotherapy, at the Systemic Center for Education and Psychotherapy "RESYS", as well as in the evaluation and support of students with learning disabilities, with whom she has worked privately in recent years.
Further Studies

At the same time, she completed her studies in Drama-Pedagogical Theatre at the Cultural Education Workshop “Play School”, with which she has been working professionally since 2013 as a key coordinator of psycho emotional development groups and a key facilitator in workshops for children and adolescents.

Work Experience

She has worked with public IEK as a teacher of Drama and as a supervising teacher in the context of the internship of students in kindergartens in Athens.

In 2018-19 she worked as a school Psychologist in public schools in West Attica.

She works privately as a systemic psychotherapist with children and adults.

Since 2017, she has been collaborating with our school.

Speech specialistEllianna Mantaka-Brinkmann

Ellianna Mantaka-Brinkmann is our speech spesialist. She did her basic studies in speech therapy at the University of Ferrara, Italy, and her master's degree in M.A. at the University of Leeds in England. During her clinical work she has been trained as a representative of the Makaton language program. She was a founding member of Makaton Germany, giving seminars in many German cities and presenting this program. In England she has received training in the Hanen parent counselling program and has completed the training as a clinical supervisor for speech therapy students at the Panhellenic Association of Speech therapists. For the last fifteen years she has been a supervisor for speech therapy students and young speech therapy professionals.

She has attended training seminars at the Athens Centre for the Study of Human Beings (AKMA) with a two-year program on systemic theory and two years in the group of organizations, improving herself both professionally and personally (2015-present)

She has participated in European and world conferences, has written several articles and continues to make many presentations in Greece and abroad.

Work Experience

She has worked in Germany and Greece. From 1990 to 1994 she worked as a volunteer and later as an external partner at the Foundation for the Child “Pammakaristos”. From 1994 to 1998 she worked in a special nursery in Cologne, Germany as a responsible speech specialist. From 2002 to 2015 she worked as a speech therapist and later as head of the speech therapy department at the Foundation for the Child “Pammakaristos”. From December 2015 until December 2018 she worked at the Family Advisory Center of the Municipality of Kallithea. At the same time, she has been working for the past ten years as an external speech specialist associate at Play and Learn and as a consultant for early intervention in speech and communication issues for staff and parents. She also works as a freelance speech specialist at the Co-operative HouseHub in Kifissia.

Her main clinical interest is the improvement of communication and social skills in children and adults, as well as the counseling of parents on prevention and early intervention issues.

Since January 2017 she has been co-founder of the Urban Non-Profit Company HouseHub (AMKE), a collaborative space for professionals and organizations that aim to empower the individual and the well-being of the family.

She is vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Panhellenic Association of Speech Specialists (PSL) and General Secretary of the European Association of Speech Therapists – Speech Pathologists (CPLOL).

PediatricianStella Drapaniotis

In recent years Play and Learn has had an excellent collaboration with the pediatrician Mrs. Drapaniotis, who visits the school once a month but also in directl contact with us in any case that needs medical attention.

Our auxiliary staff consists of two cleaning officers, who are located on the school site throughout its operation and the driver of our school bus.
